Shabbat Shalom, friends!
This week, I’m reading about walking with the God of Israel. In Genesis 5:21 to 24, we read about Hanokh (Enoch) who was 65 years at the time when he fathered his first born Metushelach. Then he walked with God 300 years and had other sons and daughters. Hanokh lived a total of 365 years and then “he wasn’t there, because God took him”.
Although, this section about Hanokh’s life is only a couple of verses, it really points to the essence of how our relationship with Adonai should be. We should walk with God, instead of following man-made religious rules and procedures that only pull us away from Adonai. Thus, we should trust (Hebrews 11:5) and walk with God. The Bible and the Ruach ha Kodesh will show you how to walk with God.
It’s also interesting that Hanokh lived 365 years. The number “365” is obviously the same number as the days in a calendar year.
My conclusion is this: place your trust in Yeshua ha Mashiach, read the Bible and walk with God 365 (everyday).
