Baruch atah Adonai

A beautiful poem by Kae Bucher!

Buckets on a Barefoot Beach

I am woman,

I am one

of these earthly scented things

a suckling being

who sucks sunshine from Eden

an hourglass holding moments

in a seashell

a sea-swell of trees and

flowers and scattered dandelions

and dust

I am a mint scented lioness

who walks through jaded forests

yet cries in the middle of the night

to be held

a wild wavy woman

who sometimes

flings about on frothing waves

but is gathered

to the bosom of Yah

like flowers

Blessed are You, Lord our God, Ruler of the Universe, who is good and causes good.
