Sodom and Gomorrah: don’t ignore this warning!

If you ever get the opportunity to visit the Dead Sea area in Israel, I’d say take it. It is definitely on my “highly recommended places to visit in the world” list, if I had such a list. According to Wikipedia, the Dead Sea attracted visitors from around the Mediterranean Basin for thousands of years and one of the earliest references to the Dead Sea is found in Genesis 14 verses 1-3:

14 (iv) When Amrafel was king of Shin‘ar, Aryokh king of Elasar, K’dorla‘omer king of ‘Elam and Tid‘al king of Goyim; they made war together against Bera king of S’dom and against Birsha king of ‘Amora, Shin’av king of Admah, Shem’ever king of Tzvoyim, and the king of Bela (which is the same as Tzo‘ar). All the latter kings joined forces in the Siddim Valley, where the Dead Sea is. They had served K’dorla‘omer twelve years, but in the thirteenth year they rebelled.

Genesis 14: 1-3

Say hello! This is me. This photo was taken earlier in the year 2020 on a very windy day with the Dead Sea in the background.

Located in the area were the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and we read about the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah back in those ancient days in verse 2 of Genesis 14. If we continue to read the Bible, we find the history of what happened to the inhabitants of these ancient cities in Genesis 19. These people received judgment for their wicked sinful behaviour.

Please watch the two videos below and share it, because these events are evidence of ADONAI’s judgement. These events that took place thousands of years ago stand as a warning as written in 2 Peter 2 verses 4 – 10:

For God did not spare the angels who sinned; on the contrary, he put them in gloomy dungeons lower than Sh’ol to be held for judgment. And he did not spare the ancient world; on the contrary, he preserved Noach, a herald of righteousness, with seven others, and brought the Flood upon a world of ungodly people. And he condemned the cities of S’dom and ‘Amora, reducing them to ashes and ruin, as a warning to those in the future who would live ungodly lives; but he rescued Lot, a righteous man who was distressed by the debauchery of those unprincipled people; for the wicked deeds which that righteous man saw and heard, as he lived among them, tormented his righteous heart day after day. So the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and how to hold the wicked until the Day of Judgment while continuing to punish them, 10 especially those who follow their old natures in lust for filth and who despise authority.

Unclean Spirit plus 7 returns

Shalom friends,

In Matthew 12:43-45(CJB) we read about Yeshua’s teaching on the return of the unclean spirits. The verses are below. I found an interesting video explaining this teaching and how it relates to this current status of the world we live in.

43 “When an unclean spirit comes out of a person, it travels through dry country seeking rest and does not find it. 44 Then it says to itself, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house standing empty, swept clean and put in order. 45 Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they come and live there — so that in the end, the person is worse off than he was before. This is how it will be for this wicked generation.”

I hope you have a blessed and wonderful new week – Shavua Tov!

Daniel requested and pleaded

IMG_20180630_174602_295.jpg

I haven’t written a blog post for a couple of months. Since the middle of last year, I started working for another company which takes up most of my time. What else has been happening? I developed an interest in flower photography (or let me rephrase this: I walk around with my mobile phone and take pictures of flowers) and I thought it was too soon, but my beard has decided to go grey in certain spots. This happened almost overnight [and that might be too much personal information]:-)

I’m currently reading from the Book of Daniel and I find Daniel a fascinating character. He was of Jewish nobility, lived in a foreign land but held a high ranking government position in this country’s government, he had the ability to interpret dreams, vision and messianic revelations, he was saved from a certain death and he was “much loved” [Daniel 9: 23].  Even with all these amazing blessings and that he was “much loved”, there are 2 verses [Daniel 6: 10 & 11] that just captures my attention. He didn’t take this for granted. He gave thanks to Adonai, made requests and pleaded (and sometimes even with sackcloth and ashes). It is mentioned that he prayed 3 times a day.  When I read these verses, this reminds me of what Yeshua said in Matthew 7: 7 & 8:

7 “Keep asking, and it will be given to you; keep seeking, and you will find; keep knocking, and the door will be opened to you.

8 For everyone who keeps asking receives; he who keeps seeking finds; and to him who keeps knocking, the door will be opened”

And in everything gives thanks to Adonai,  for He is good, for His grace continues forever -[Psalm 107:1 1 Thessalonians 5:18]

Keep the communication going – that is pray and continue to do so! When everything in your life is going well, during the challenging times, when you need guidance on decisions you have to make….pray anytime and about anything.

I’m also reading the Book of Daniel because of the prophecy about the abomination that causes desolation that was revealed to Daniel. You could read more about this in Daniel 11:29-32 & Daniel 12:11.  Yeshua also makes reference to this in Matthew 24. There are some that speculate for this to happen, there needs to be a “third temple” building or similar structure.  There has been talk for a couple of years now that a particular Member of the Knesset (Israeli Parliament) is seriously advocating to build a third temple. Some of the orthodox rabbis also regard the war in Syria as prophetic, as the current events taking place in the Middle East could lead to the abomination that causes desolation [ You could read more about this for example 2 Thessalonians 2]. There are all kinds of rumors and opinions that the Anti Messiah will be someone representing Iran, or a European Muslim convert or even an Israeli military leader. I’m not an expert on this, it’s just some food for thought and you can’t (and shouldn’t) believe everything you hear. With all these rumours,  just remember Yeshua‘s words in Matthew 24:

23 “At that time, if someone says to you, `Look! Here’s the Messiah!’ or, `There he is!’ don’t believe him.

24 For there will appear false Messiahs and false prophets performing great miracles — amazing things! — so as to fool even the chosen, if pos sible.

25 There! I have told you in advance!

26 So if people say to you, `Listen! He’s out in the desert!’ don’t go; or, `Look! He’s hidden away in a secret room!’ don’t believe it.

27 For when the Son of Man does come, it will be like lightning that flashes out of the east and fills the sky to the western horizon.

Let’s continue to hold on to Yeshua’s words by reading the Bible.

I’ve included some of my photos in the post.

Have a good week!

An Israeli child
reaches out with his hands,
in resounding victory
towards the blue and white sky –
towards the bright Morning Star in the heavens
that shines to show the way to Truth and Life
For darkness has been defeated and only Light remains

The people of Israel are back in the Land of Israel
It’s not just a miracle, it is bible prophecy confirmed!

Science vs Biblical Truth: Flat Earth or Circle?

Apparently, there is a growing movement of people who believe that the earth is flat. Yes, this isn’t fake news and you can access the article here. In another article, the history behind the possible discovery that the earth is a sphere is given and that Pythagoras (Greek philosopher & mathematician) “provides the earliest arguments for why the Earth is round” in 500 BC.

What does the Word of God say? Well, ADONAI, the Almighty Living God of Israel, revealed to the Prophet Isaiah, between 742 and 689 BC that the earth is a sphere. In Isaiah 40:22 :

22 He who sits above the circle of the earth – for whom its inhabitants appear like grasshoppers – stretches out the heavens like a curtain, spreads them out like a tent to live in.

Biblical truth is beautiful, pure and correct!

Hear the call: Sh’ma (Hear Israel)

Hear the call, Israel!

Hear, my words, Israel, you beautiful olive tree consisting of Jew and Gentile believers.

Hear, Israel: we, the remnant come in the spirit and power of Eliyahu, the prophet of old! We praise, pray and prophesy before the return of our King, our Jewish Messiah, our Salvation, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, the Branch of King David – Yeshua ha Mashiach.

Hear Israel, what do you say to confess your faith when coming face to face with the adversary?

We say…we sing as loud as we can: “Sh’ma, Yisra’el! ADONAI Eloheinu, ADONAI echad [Hear, Isra’el! ADONAI our God, ADONAI is one]; and then we pray, like we’ve never prayed before, like Eliyahu, the prophet, we pray as if we want to bring fire from Heaven,  we sing songs and dance like King David and we blow the Shofar! We are prayer warriors!

Halleluyah!

May Yeshua Mashiach bless you and your family

Sh’ma by yossi azulay
Deuteronomy 6 4-9:
4 “Sh’ma, Yisra’el! ADONAI Eloheinu, ADONAI echad [Hear, Isra’el! ADONAI our God, ADONAI is one];
5 and you are to love ADONAI your God with all your heart, all your being and all your resources.
6 These words, which I am ordering you today, are to be on your heart;
7 and you are to teach them carefully to your children. You are to talk about them when you sit at home, when you are traveling on the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
8 Tie them on your hand as a sign, put them at the front of a headband around your forehead,
9and write them on the door-frames of your house and on your gates.
